About Us
Come and join us for worship, fellowship and discipleship.
What we believe and teach: - that God is three persons in One - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. - the virgin birth of Jesus - that Jesus was both man and God simultaneously. - that the Word of God is authentic and the authority to teach us how to live out our faith. - that salvation, eternal life, comes by God's grace through faith placed in Jesus as Savior. - that we each have the responsibility to respond to God for His gift of salvation. - believer's baptism and communion are outward signs that a person has believed in Jesus as Savior. Please see our statement of faith below. You may also contact us at the church - 755.2266 - for more information. Our Pastor- Pastor Rich Rizzi is from the Binghamton, NY area. His wife, Grace, also grew up in upstate New York. He was raised in a very Italian, Roman Catholic family who went to church often when he was a child. It was there he learned a great deal about who God is, however, he never truly understood the plan of God's grace through faith in Christ until the age of 25. At that time Richard was working at a restaurant with several Bible College students. Those students engaged him in discussing things of the Bible and caused him to think about what he knew about God. It was during this time Richard met Grace, his wife and they discussed the Word of God a great deal. Grace was among those from the Bible College who were instrumental in helping Richard gain a clear understanding of the gospel and how faith in Christ results in salvation. In the fall of 1985, Richard accepted Christ as his Savior. Dr. Richard Rizzi has served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Farmington, New Hampshire, since 2006. He holds the Doctor of Divinity from the Master's International University of Divinity, a PhD in Theology and Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwest Bible College and Seminary, and a Bachelors of Religious Education in Pastoral Theology from Davis College, Johnson City, NY. Richard’s pastoral experience includes service at First Baptist of Berlin, NY, Cadis Baptist Church (bi-vocational) of Rome, PA, and apprentice pastor of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle of Vestal, NY. His greatest interest is in doctrinal thinking and application. Join us at FBCFNH and learn more about God's gift of grace. |
On Sundays & for our services:
You will find the best parking in the back lot off of Union Street. Most people enter the church at the basement level off of the back parking lot. We have handicapped parking on our Church Street side close to the front of the church where you will find a ramp for wheel-chair accessibility. We do not have a dress code, but modesty is never out of style. We have people who dress casually as well as those who dress more formally for worship. Please do not hesitate to come and worship with us if you are in the area for a visit! We will never turn you away. We do have a nursery during service for toddlers up to first grade* for those parents who do desire to allow their children that opportunity. Any parent who wishes to keep their child with them during worship is welcome and encouraged to do so. We love children in the worship service where they will learn about God and what worship is all about. Should you have any questions regarding our approach to worship or beliefs please call our office. If no one is available, please leave a message. *For the child older than first grade level - we ask that this be limited for the sake of the volunteer.
